Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a full-time on-site Inventory Manager to join our team at our flagship location in Austin, TX. As the Inventory Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of our inventory office while working alongside a dynamic and creative group of individuals. This position requires someone with a passion for supporting small businesses, particularly women-owned enterprises, and a genuine interest in the jewelry industry.

This role reports directly to the business owner and works closely with the Senior Planner. Responsibilities:

• Provide regular reports on stock levels, inventory issues, and other relevant metrics to upper management.
• Act as a liaison between the merchandising department, retail store managers, and department leaders, providing updates on production, replenishment, and allocation matters.
• Recruit and train new employees for the inventory department, fostering a dedicated, skilled, and cohesive team.
• Uphold strict quality control measures for all jewelry products to maintain the highest standards.
• Supervise and coordinate tasks, workflows, and schedules of inventory admins and production assistants.
• Manage day-to-day activities within the inventory department, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
• Maintain meticulous records of daily deliveries and shipments to keep inventory updated and accurate.
• Thoroughly examine and approve purchase orders and invoices, ensuring accuracy and adherence to budgetary guidelines.
• Execute requests for store allocations and handle replating/repair orders promptly and accurately.
• Conduct monthly evaluations and development plans for department employees to encourage professional growth.
• Evaluate new inventory to verify its quality and readiness for shipment to customers.
• Manage allocations received from the Senior Planner, ensuring timely merchandise delivery to store locations.
• Ensure efficient fulfillment of e-commerce orders and manage associated inventory.
• Oversee the inbound and outbound movement of jewelry throughout the production cycle.

Requirements:

• Proven track record as an inventory manager or in a similar role, showcasing strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Possess an analytical mindset with excellent mathematical skills for data analysis and decision-making.
• Prior experience in the jewelry industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in software tools like Excel, Google Drive, and Shopify to handle inventory-related tasks efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with various teams and stakeholders.
• Outstanding organizational and planning abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• Proficient in inventory management practices, accurately tracking inventory levels, and generating comprehensive reports.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Experience managing a team of five or more individuals, fostering a positive and efficient work environment.
• Basic understanding of retail buying math to support purchasing decisions.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Salary: $55,000 per year.

Physical Demands:

The Inventory Manager role involves various physical demands associated with managing jewelry inventory and overseeing day-to-day operations. This role requires the ability to perform the following physical activities:

• Standing and walking throughout the store for extended periods of time to inspect displays, move between workstations, and collaborate with team members.
• Reaching, bending, and stretching to access high and/or low shelving, handle merchandise, or perform inventory counts.
• Fine motor skills to handle delicate jewelry items that require precise and careful handling to avoid damage.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds. This could involve moving products, jewelry trays, boxes, and other inventory items to and from storage areas, display cases, and shipping/receiving areas.
