THE ROLE: INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST


OLLY’s Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely data entry into our ERP system, from receiving raw materials and finished goods, to production posting and materials movements. You will also investigate inventory discrepancies when they arise. The Inventory Control Specialist will institute and manage the cycle count program to ensure accurate quantity and lot.


Key Responsibilities


  • Resolve process issues related to material managements, warehousing, and control
  • Conduct daily inventory transactions in the ERP system to ensure inventory accuracy and provide real time data, these transactions include but are not limited to inventory receipts and cost center issues, production orders, inventory location movements, and authorized adjustments
  • Responsible for maintaining data Integrity within our ERP system, Microsoft Navision (NAV)
  • Develop and perform monthly cycle count process and annual physical inventory at all locations
  • Work with cross-functional teams (Quality, Supply, Distribution, and Logistics) to ensure inventory control practices are being followed and assist in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Resolve discrepancies, examine and investigate misidentified or out of balance items with root cause analysis and identifying necessary preventive measure to assure there are no re-occurrence
  • Work with multiple organizations to minimize inventory variances and implement improved processes to increase overall inventory accuracy
  • Identify problematic inventory records/transactions, assure inventory balances are accurately maintained in both internal and external systems, and with permission from management make appropriate adjustments
  • Compiles, verifies and reports monthly key performance metrics/ information to management regarding inventory trends

CAPABILITIES + SKILLS REQUIRED


  • Travel required once a year for physical inventory count
  • Strong acumen with ability to toggle back and forth between details and big picture; proven track record of digging into specific problems, identifying root cause, and creating high level work plans to address the issue
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance or Supply Chain preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem solving and organizational skills
  • Adept at influencing and working with internal and external partners; strong communication skills
  • Ability to simplify financial information and present logical recommendations
  • 3-5 years of work experience required with 2 years in Inventory Reconciliation or Inventory Control at a CPG company preferred
  • Solid proficiency of MS Excel, Power Point & Word


What To Expect During The Interview Process


  • Round 1: Conversation with the Hiring Manager + 1-2 conversations with other Ollies on the team
  • Round 2: 2-3 conversations with team or cross functional Ollies
  • At OLLY, our final round is called Homework. Candidates who participate in this round are given 3 questions in advance to answer and present to the interview panel they previously spoke with in the process. THE DETAILS


LOCATION: San Francisco, CA - priority will be given to local candidates


HOURS: full time, exempt (salaried)

The pay range for this position is $ 70,000-86,000k dependent on experience. This position is bonus eligible and Long-Term Incentive eligible.
