Job Summary: Responsible for the gathering and reporting of essential inventory data to leadership on all raw materials and parts.
The following is a list of the essential duties and responsibilities that are expected of the Inventory Control Clerk; however, additional duties may be assigned, as required.
- Provides the highest level of customer service to accounting department and all associated management.
- Enforce inventory control strategies and existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operational costs.
- Ensures accuracy of product inventories against system records.
- Work with leadership and audit teams to establish timely and effective quarterly site counts.
- Prepares, generates, and files inventory reports according to company best practices.
- Evaluates inventory organization and implement efficient space utilization processes.
- Triggers all cycle counts for warehouse personnel.
- Compares data entered with source documents, deletes incorrectly entered and re-enters correct data, compiles, sorts, and verifies accuracy of data to be entered, keeps record of work completed, performs all the duties of a warehouse puller.
- Coordinate with scrap department to accurately document and generate reports for raw materials waste.
- Actively manage the WIP and Blue Sheet reports on a daily basis.
- Coordinates with leadership on solutions for inventory control and capacity issues.
- Operates keyboard or other data entry devices into computer by performing the following duties. Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on the screen.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Safety toe shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves, sleeves. Other PPE based on job tasks.
Environmental Exposures:
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to season climate changes, indoor particulates and noise exposure of approximately 85 decibel level.
Minimum Requirements:
- Demonstrates leadership abilities and is able to communicate effectively in written and spoken form.
- It is preferred that the applicant have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED.
- Demonstrates the ability to be effective in a fast-paced, multi-task environment and have strong organizational skills.
Essential Mental Functions:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instruction, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measurement, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. The ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and interpret bar graphs.
Use of Tools/Equipment/Machines:
- Pushcart, computer, forklift, hand jack, scanner, overhead cranes/hoists.
