DEPARTMENT: INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY #7639

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Interventional Radiology Technologist assists the Interventional Radiologist or physician to perform interventional radiology procedures. The Interventional Radiology technologist will be responsible for performing the following duties: preparation of equipment, supply management, and patient care and safety. They also perform standard diagnostic x-ray procedure on pre-mature neo-natal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients to include fluoroscopy, portable, surgical and routine exams. Must be licensed as a California Radiologic Technologist, preferred to have Vascular Interventional Technology certification. Must comply with OSHA standards and regulations involving potential exposure to blood-borne pathogens as well as ionizing radiation.

Must also have appropriate training of how to perform interventional radiology procedures while keeping sterile technique

• California Fluoroscopy License
• Proficient and able to function independently in CT Scan, Mammography and MRI
