Duties


Summary


Serves as an International Program Specialist at NASA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. responsible for drafting and negotiating international agreements; advising mission directorate, field center, and other officials on the policy, regulatory and legal aspects of international partnerships; managing interactions with international partners; and providing expert analysis of space policy developments in assigned regions.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. GS-09: To qualify at the GS-09 level, you must have: a) One year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level: Assisting with collecting data used in analyzing international relations scenarios to determine cause and effect to support making recommendations; Participating in the process of engaging with international colleagues, partners, or clients; Drafting written reports, agreements, or other documents for international programs or policies. OR b) Completed all requirements for a master's or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field OR c) Completed 2 full academic years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree in an appropriate field OR d) LL. B or J.D, if related OR e) Have an equivalent combination of experience and graduate study as discussed in a), b), c) and d) above.
