Security Specialist (Direct Hire)

Duties

Summary

You will serve as a Security Specialist, Declassification Program Manager, within the Office for Protective Services, responsible for implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, operations schedules, declassification/information security training, and other requirements for the agency. As the primary or secondary liaison for all declassification requirements, you will extensively interact with internal and external customers, clients, and colleagues on various security related matters.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level: Interpreting, applying, and communicating procedures, policies, and guidance for various Declassification, Classification, or Information Security programs; Developing and monitoring Declassification or Information Security policies, ensuring compliance for all actions; Providing training on Declassification, Classification, or Information Security to internal or external personnel.
