Internal Audit Supervisor Jobs

As our Internal Audit Supervisor, you will work directly with the Manager, Director and VP of Internal Audit to manage the department, which includes a team of 4-5 staff/seniors. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the internal audits, performing internal audits, coordinating audit planning, and managing special projects. In this position, you will also discuss audit issues with senior management and formulate recommendations for process improvements. In addition, you will have exposure to the highest levels of the organization and the opportunity to excel into progressively more management level positions either within the department or elsewhere in the company.

Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and perform internal audits
• Suggest revisions and process improvements to audit programs
• Independently perform business unit and special investigation audits and analyze findings
• Train, develop and supervise staff/senior auditors and get involved with recruiting efforts for new auditors
• Assess and respond to emerging ESG (Environment, Social, and Governance) trends and requirements
• Review work papers and audit reports prepared by audit staff/seniors and make appropriate modifications prior to issuance
• Propose policy and internal control recommendations to senior management
• Develop solutions and communicate recommendations to operations management

Qualifications

• Experience in reviewing observations with senior management
• CPA, CIA, and/or CFE preferred
• Previous supervisory experience of staff/senior auditors, including review of workpapers and providing timely feedback on performance
• Experience performing walkthroughs and testing of SOX 404 processes and internal controls
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• 3-4+ years progressive work experience, preferably with a “Big Four” or large regional public accounting firm
• Ability to travel ~15% of the time
