Internal Audit Principal Jobs

Job Information

The Internal Audit Principal/Director will work to support the Internal Audit team to perform and/or lead internal audit and other special projects to ensure timely execution of the annual audit plan. This position requires strong critical reasoning, sound professional judgement, attention to detail, action-driven and an agile mindset.

Key Job Functions

• Perform and document work in accordance with IIA’s International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards) and IIA Code of Ethics
• Plan and manage complex operational audits including risk assessment, execution, and post-remediation issues validation
• Act as subject matter expert and trusted advisor for risk assessment, control/process design, and testing
• Assist in the development of the annual internal audit plan using a risk-based approach
• Build strong relationships with business partners to provide value-added consultation to influence and strengthen operational efficiencies and effectiveness

Education

• Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Bachelor’s Degree

Minimum Experience

• Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring employer sponsorship currently or in the future. CSS does not offer H-1B sponsorship for this position.
• Minimum 8 years work experience with a focus on risk-based auditing
• Previous experience in public accounting, risk management, internal audit, and 3+ years of management experience

• Experience performing data analysis using various data analysis techniques
• Proficiency in audit methodology and risk/controls assessments in relation to operational processes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills that allow effective interaction with business partners
• Experienced in project management practices, tools, and managing projects through the audit lifecycle
• Solid understanding of the financial services industry with experience in mortgage securitization, risk management, and operational risk.
