The Internal Audit department is seeking a Financial and Operational Auditor. This role is responsible for performing various types of audits including financial, operational, program level, compensation, and other audits. The main objectives of this role are to examine and assess the effectiveness of internal controls and procedures around select financial statement accounts and accounting transactions and to determine whether practices are compliant with applicable L3Harris policies and procedures. The ideal candidate should demonstrate strong leadership skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organization.


Roles and Responsibilities


  • Create strong partnerships with Controllers, Finance leaders, and other key stakeholders.
  • Perform special projects or reviews, as assigned.
  • Effectively interact with and communicate results to auditees, audit management, and business unit management.
  • Independently and objectively execute audits in accordance with professional auditing standards
  • Understand the general guidance of the Manager, Financial/Operational Audit:
  • Support financial/operational audits, with emphasis on Program Level Audits and Financial and Operational Audits.
  • Ensure that financial transactions are conducted and approved in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Perform walkthroughs and test procedures to analyze key processes and controls.
  • Provide direct audit assistance to the external auditors, as assigned.
  • Prepare written workpapers and audit reports, documenting audit work performed, and expressing conclusions on control adequacy.

Qualifications

  • GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Microsoft Office Excel experience required; advanced Excel skills preferred
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work individually with other team members with minimal supervision.
  • Strong mathematical abilities and analytical skills.
