Intern, Marketing Jobs

What you get to do:

• Ability to motivate customers about product and SEA company information
• Previous experience in all MS Office applications, specifically, Excel, PowerPoint and Word, graphic design and Adobe Creative Suite a plus
• Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to meet company driving guidelines
• Must commit to work a minimum of three days a business week, in addition to weekend availability
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent; pursuit of a college degree in marketing, mass communications, hospitality or related field preferred; junior/senior level preferred
• Must be able to lift at least 40 lbs. occasionally.
• Must be available for nights and weekends
• Bi-lingual is a plus
• Candidate should have knowledge of selling fundamentals, in addition to being an excellent communicator, capable of managing multiple projects and a self-starter
• Must be able work a minimum of 28 hours
• Must be goal orientated and have excellent phone communication, interpersonal communication, presentation and negotiating skills, a positive attitude and the ability to overcome objections

What it takes to succeed:

• Work closely on with marketing management with consumer events, Pass Member programs, and retail promotions
• Research, secure and attend off-site grassroots promotions and events
• Become familiar with the hotel routes and properties
• Compose Monthly Reports
• Assist with marketing plan development and research
• Escort media outlets during live and taped broadcasts in the park
• Properly represent SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment and our commitment to excellence
• Shadow marketing management in client and interdepartmental meetings
• Assist with development of various marketing creative projects (web graphics, in-park signage, social media)
• Support event services team with day of event execution
• Perform various other duties as assigned

Compensation:

• Pay rate is $12.00 per hour
