Discovery Senior Living is hiring an Interior Designer to join our home office team.

• DALLAS, TX and/or BONITA SPRINGS, FL LOCATION*

Discovery Design Concepts is seeking designers who are looking to advance their career in a creative environment dedicated to elevating the lifestyles of Senior Living Community residents through design. The ideal candidate has the desire to become an integral member of our interior design team and work in tandem with the Director on all facets of design.
Responsibilities

• Work on special projects (for example, models, unit turns, guest suites)
• Work on master schedule tracking order deliveries and schedule installations of larger and smaller projects at communities
• Manage and maintain budgets/reconciliation of budgets for each project
• Work on procurement for all FF&E for multiple projects includes finish selections and FF&E selections
• Documentation of all damages and reorders after installation of projects
• Placing orders and tracking all orders for all furniture and other related items
• Collaborate with Discovery Senior Living team to team to determine design preferences, purpose and function of spaces, branding, budget, and other factors, which affect the design of multi-family senior living environments.
• Assist Designer in creating/updating spreadsheets documenting design selections
• Additional duties/projects as assigned
• Assist Designers in developing renderings and story boards for communities
• Work with CAD system on plan updating and furniture plans for all orders
• Oversee the installations at the communities

Qualifications

• Ability to space plan to layout furniture
• Attention to detail for design standards and purchasing/coding requirements
• 3-5 years’ experience
• Professional degree in interior design or architecture
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite and familiarity Sketchup
• Understand basic flow chart schedules, both creating and reading them.
• Must possess fluent computer skills in Word, Excel, and other Microsoft based software.
• Must understand basic accounting systems for coding purchases
