Intake Specialist Jobs

An Intake Specialist (ITS) is the primary point of contact for our members beginning their surgical journey using the SurgeryPlus benefit. The Intake Specialist will focus on new business calls, ensuring the delivery of high-level education so allow members to make an educated decision based on their healthcare needs. A critical aspect for our Intake Specialist is engaging and selling our value proposition to each and every member. Intake Specialists will use education, sales techniques and tools, and customer service skills to introduce new members to SurgeryPlus. Intake Specialists provide a concierge-level experience to all members, both new and existing, by navigating them through the surgical continuum. This individual must be energetic, passionate, confident, and sales driven.
Hourly Wage: $20-25/hour
This position is 100% onsite in our Dallas, TX office.
Responsibilities And Duties

• Work with highly sensitive information while maintaining Personal Protected Information (PPI) requirements
• Accountable for engaging and educating new and existing members on the SurgeryPlus offering and ensuring all benefits are clearly articulated and understood
• Schedule consultation with provider's office on behalf of SurgeryPlus Members
• Assist SurgeryPlus Members with provider recommendations and maintain appropriate records and documents on initial call
• Work with health insurance companies to obtain prior authorization for complex surgical procedures.
• Gather required documentation for provider's office on behalf of SurgeryPlus member's (Records Authorization Member Questionnaires, Member Identification Cards, Referral Forms)

Utilize sales techniques and tools to convert Members to utilize SurgeryPlus benefit
Requirements

• 1-3 years experience in a customer service
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual (Spanish & English) preferred.
• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, social services, public health, or related field strongly preferred.
• 1-3 years experience in a sales enablement role (preferred)
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to effectively organize work activities to meet deadlines.
