Title: Intake Coordinator (Mental Health Technician)

Contract Length: 6 month-contract to hire

Location: Westborough, MA 01581

Shifts: (your choice)

• 10:30p-7a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 32/hr/week
• 1:40/hr/ week: 9a-7:30p Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
• 2:30p-11p Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 32/hr/week

Pay Rate: $21/hr

Start Date: ASAP

Vax Required: Yes

Must-Haves:

• 1 yr in healthcare working with patients (can be as a MA, CAN, ER, Tech, ect. )
• 1 yr working in administration.
• High School Diploma

Plusses:

• Any Psychiatric experience
• Mental Health Technician experience
• Associates or Bachelors Degree
• CPI (restraint training)
• Experience working with insurance verification
• CPR/BLS

Day to Day:

To review patient referrals sent from neighboring healthcare facilities to assess their need for psychiatric inpatient level of care, as well as consideration for admission to Westborough Behavioral Healthcare Hospital (WBHH). Intake Coordinators/MHTs will work alongside nursing staff to review referrals, contact insurance companies, crisis evaluation teams, and hospital staff to coordinate outpatient as well as inpatient psychiatric admissions. They will assist in admitting patients based on Admission Criteria and Medical Necessity, and referring out to community resources if necessary. They will be responsible for direct observation and maintaining patients’ safety while they go through the admission process in the intake department. They will work toward enhancing and promoting good working relationships with neighboring health care facilities

***They are essentially working in a role that is 50% admissions and 50% mental health technician!

Patient Population:

• 3 units total
• Unit w/ kids from 4-17
• Up to the age of 12
• Child unit
• 64 patients – growing to 70
• Adults patients
• Special needs patients
