Job Description

Capstone IT is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Technical Instructional Design Specialist to join our client’s team.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading the transition plan for a new platform from a legacy platform. This transition is a critical aspect of our long-term strategy, and the ideal candidate will possess deep instructional design expertise, knowledge of Learning Management Systems (LMS), and a holistic approach to training and transition planning.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams and have access to a quality center with technical knowledge to ensure a smooth and effective transition.

Key Expertise and Knowledge:

  • Be adaptable to the dynamic nature of the transition process. Understand that there will be ebbs and flows in the need for your expertise, and leverage your training knowledge to make informed instructional decisions.
  • Leverage your extensive experience in building and creating transition plans to ensure that the training process is holistic and aligned with the broader goals of the organization.
  • Lead the creation and development of a comprehensive transition plan for migrating from the legacy platform to the future platform.
  • Collaborate with the quality center that has technical knowledge of both the legacy and future platforms. Utilize this resource as needed to facilitate the transition process.
  • Possess a working knowledge of Learning Management Systems, especially those used for training module systems. Use this knowledge to integrate training materials into the LMS effectively.
  • Adopt a process and function-focused approach to ensure a seamless transition, with a keen eye on the big picture of transitioning employees to the new platform.
  • Demonstrate deep experience in instructional design methodologies and tools, with a strong emphasis on using tools such as "Addie instructional design" to create effective training materials.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee all phases of the transition project, ensuring that each step is executed efficiently and on schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor complex projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems and their integration into training processes.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing project needs.
  • Experience in creating and executing transition plans in a corporate environment.
  • Proven experience in instructional design, with a strong background in using tools like "Addy."
  • Ability to think strategically and take a big-picture view of the transition process.
  • Demonstrated ability to create training materials that align with organizational goals.

If you are a highly skilled instructional design specialist with a passion for driving successful platform transitions and have a track record of creating effective training programs, we encourage you to apply.
