Job Description

Job Summary:Design, execution and direction of overall creative presence and marketing messaging that promote IHA and IHA products and services to the home and housewares industry.


Principal Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Creative Execution & Oversight

  • Executes on visual strategyof marketing and communications efforts of IHA and IHA product brands; collaborates with team on digital strategies and tactics and oversees print execution across all marketing tactics. Maintains brand identities and standards for products and services developed by IHA as well as overall brand and individual campaign standards for both print and online; advises staff and external resources as to correct usage.
  • Develops original designs in both digital and printfor IHA and IHA products. Leads development of annual trade show marketing campaign concepts as well as incremental campaigns (Membership; Events; HomePage News, etc). Oversees execution of overall brand and annual campaigns in both print and digital.
  • Maintains required job skills and professional competencies.Supports IHA’s mission and observes core job values such as productivity, teamwork, and customer service. Manages assigned materials, facilities and equipment and other assets to ensure responsible controls over and utilization of IHA resources.
  • Identifies and oversees outside resourcesas needed and approved to fulfill needs (i.e., on-site photography, freelance designers, etc.) as assigned.

E-mail, Social & Digital Marketing

  • Works with Director, Marketing on overall messaging and email strategy objectives for both IHA and IHA products.
  • Collaborates with Manager, Digital Marketing to design, develop and execute social media and digital advertising assets across IHA and IHA product brands according to annual media plans.
  • Collaborates with Manager, Digital Communications to develop, design and help execute promotional and content-driven email templates; serves as back-up for email deployment.

Photo Manipulation & Management & Video Collaboration

  • Ability to execute photo retouching and manipulation from basic edits to product image outlining for use across marketing campaigns in both print and digital media as well as graphic support for in-house video-based initiatives.
  • Collaborates with Manager, Digital Marketing to develop at-Show plan for photo and video capture; oversees and directs on-site photographers and assists as needed in on-site management of videographers.
  • Post Show manages and maintains final curation, upload and sharing out of Show photography in an organized and intuitive way.

Position Qualifications:

Education:Minimum bachelor’s degree in graphic design or communications.

Experience:

  • Minimum five years of experience in digital marketing and communications.
  • 8-10 years designing and executing visual communications across digital and print mediums.
  • Ability to collaborate with copywriters to achieve marketing strategies.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing brand identities and standards.
  • Event marketing experience highly desirable.


Additional Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat) and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail with strong proofreading skills and a strong knowledge of print production.
  • Experience with HubSpot preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrate strong background in typography and informational design to maintain excellence in creative product and continue to elevate the visual brand.
  • Experience in working within content management systems for basic website updates.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with willingness to explore new opportunities and proactively find solutions to internal clients’ challenges with a positive and engaged approach.
  • Ability to contribute and engage in overall brand messaging and provide visual direction while handling multiple projects under deadline restrictions with an understanding of project prioritization.
