Under the supervision of the Human Services Program Director and School Dean, this position is responsible for arranging, facilitating, and assessing experiences for all CMC Human Services courses and requires proper application of all relevant state standards and regulations of Behavioral Health professions in Colorado. In collaboration with the HMS Program Director and School Dean, this position works with program faculty, site staff, students, state regulatory offices, and other stakeholders in establishing guidelines, policies, schedules, deadlines, reporting structures and other duties as assigned. Must have the ability to communicate effectively and build positive relationships with students, faculty, regulatory agency staff and community agency personnel of all levels. In addition, this position participates and represents the Human Services Program on various internal and external committees related to the educational standards of the field, regulatory agency oversight, and internship placements. High level communication, negotiation and organizational skills are required to adequately address the needs of CMC Human Services students and agencies in this complex, competitive environment. This position will also be expected to teach 9-12 credits per year for the Human Services internship class. This is a year-round administrative, non-faculty, staff position with teaching responsibilities. The incumbent must be qualified to be credentialed to teach in the assigned areas, however, is not assigned a faculty rank. *This position may be housed at the Breckenridge/Dillon, Central Services, Edwards, Spring Valley/Glenwood Center, Steamboat Springs, or Rifle campus. Examples of ideal qualifications include a minimum of a master’s degree and two years related experience in administration with demonstrated experience in behavior health and internship programs with at least one year in a supervisory position; and minimum of two years teaching experience at the college level. Position requires current LPC or LAC to practice in the State of Colorado. Demonstrated knowledge of pedagogy and combined educational program management and teaching experience equating to two years. In lieu of management experience, applicants with five or more years of teaching experience may be considered. Special Skills or abilities related to position: Must be able to demonstrate a high level of problem-solving and decision-making abilities to respond to program, student, faculty, regularity agency, and placement site issues. Must possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills. Experience in a Counseling/Therapy/Behavioral Health field or other clinical environment desired. Knowledge of college organizational structure/management systems and personnel, regulatory compliance, pertinent laws, policies, and procedures and/or guidelines affecting areas of responsibilities. Maintaining records for the program and Colorado Office of Behavioral Health. Contracts and contract management as it pertains to CMC & various clinical and field facilities. Communicate effectively in verbal and written form while maintaining HIPPA, FERPA and other confidential communications. Strong presentation, interpersonal and collaborative skills. Organize and prioritize work. Meet deadlines. Demonstrate ability to work as a team member and independently. Maintain extremely high confidentiality requirements. Develop and maintain high level of collaborative relationships that facilitate clinical and field placements. Work with a variety of officers of the college, administrative support staff and students. Work successfully with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse population. Welcoming.
