Instructional Aide - Middle School (23/24 School Year)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide in class instructional support
• Actively participate in professional development aimed at refining both school culture and academics
• Transition supervision
• Work with and assist teachers during the school day with instruction, oversight, and supervision of students
• Maintain open lines of communication with staff, parents, and other stakeholders
• Conduct academic assessments
• Enforce Equitas Academy’s positive discipline policies
• Facilitate Wilson Small Groups (training provided)
• Provide small group or support instruction in various lessons and activities using learning strategies designed to introduce or reinforce skills
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Maintain high behavioral and academic expectations for students
• Lunch supervision
• Follow policies and procedures for health, safety, and nutrition

Qualifications:

• Criminal clearance, including fingerprints and TB Test
• BA degree preferred
• Previous experience working with and supervising children
• Current CPR and 1st Aid Certificate within 3 months of employment
• 30 Day Emergency Sub Permit preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Reports to: Instructional Coach, Dean, Assistant School Director, or School Director

Salary Range: $20.00-$24.00/hourly

Salary Range for Substitute Hours: $38/hourly (30 Day Sub Permit Required)
