located in Paramount, CA. This highly stable and growing Machining operation serves many industries including aerospace, cryogenics, automotive, technology, etc. This company has 30+ employees and takes great pride in the long tenure and employee satisfaction that it maintains.

In this role as an inspector you will report to, and learn from, the inspection manager. You will be inspecting a broad breadth of tight-tolerance parts, produced from a variety of variety of metals, on a variety of sophisticated machines. This is a chance to grow as a quality technician and professional.

This is a first shift position that starts at 500 and goes to 330 Mon - Thurs. Any work on Friday is over time and typically goes from 5am - 1pm (so an early weekend, while still getting OT!)

Inspection and Quality Control

• Perform first article, in-process, final inspection, etc. to verify conformance to customer requirements, drawings, and internal processing requirements, etc. using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, V-Bloacks, and CMM (this is an opportunity to continue to develop skills utilizing a CCM)
• Identify and report any non-conforming or out-of-specification parts for corrective action.

Documentation and Reporting

• Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure compliance with quality standards and procedures.
• Generate inspection reports and documentation for each batch of machined parts, highlighting any discrepancies or issues.
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, including measurements, findings, and observations.

Equipment Calibration and Maintenance

• Ensure the proper calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to guarantee accurate measurements.
• Assist in the calibration schedule and record-keeping for all inspection tools and equipment.

Process Improvement

• Provide input on design and manufacturing improvements based on inspection results and feedback.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes, reduce defects, and increase efficiency.

This position is due growth and works with the machine shop to ensure quality meets the highest standards possible.

• Minimum one year of experience as a Mechanical Inspector or Quality Control Inspector in a CNC machine shop or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong organizational and documentation skills.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented with a keen eye for identifying discrepancies and defects.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical engineering, machining, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to work independently.

“In accordance with California law, the expected salary range for this California position is between $24/hr and $27/hr. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.”
