Description & Requirements


Innovation Project Manager*


  • Internal title at Kraft Heinz is Scrum Master.


This is a hybrid role based out of downtown Chicago.


Supports the delivery of highly visible disruptive innovation- brand renovation and cost out initiatives for the company. The Innovation Project Manager/Scrum Master will be a key team member of a small- focused Agile team- collaborating with cross functional parties- including the product owner- marketing- R&D- consumer insights- finance- as well as relevant technical and execution resources and/or field operations. In addition- this person removes impediments and acts as a shield from external distractions so the team can deliver value each sprint. They create a safe working environment for the team and are an innovator who constantly seeks continuous improvement and builds higher performing teams.


What You'll Do


  • Help organize- prep- and facilitate planning sessions & estimations for future sprints.
  • Ensure Scrum practices are used and improved within and across teams
  • Look at key metrics such as sprint velocity- scope- flow and improve the overall pod performance to deliver commitments
  • Lead commercialization efforts for disruptive innovation- brand renovation & cost out initiatives to deliver company goals such as revenue- growth or savings.
  • Facilitate definition of project scopes- goals and vision and ensure alignment
  • Foster a continuous learning environment helping teams to inspect & adapt.
  • Work across sprints to help facilitate capacity conversations and identify work that may be blocked due staffing/casting challenges.
  • Initiate the finished good Master data setup and communicate completed information to all
  • Build and coach high performing cross functional teams.
  • Flag issues/risks and other key actions that may need to interface with non-agile portions of the company
  • Identify trade-offs between short- and long-term benefits to drive shared vision between the team and product owner.
  • Facilitate large group discussions including those with key stakeholders.
  • Facilitate the daily standup meetings which includes both verbal and email communications to collect and consolidate team updates.
  • Collaborators so all information systems can be accurately set up to produce- ship- sell and invoice our products


Who You Are


  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence and Miro or other similar whiteboarding tool is an advantage
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and navigate ambiguity
  • Project management in Innovation- Commercialization or R&D work experience in CPG- ideally in the food industry
  • Agile and Scrum project management experience or certifications a plus
  • Confident and skilled at guiding the team through organizational road-blocks to allow Sprints to be completed on time
  • Ability to promote innovative thinking and self-improvement within the team
  • Design Thinking experience or certifications a plus
  • Quick learner with a natural curiosity

Office Collaboration & Hybrid Work Environment
