A Day in the Life

In this exciting role as an Injection Molding Technician III, you will be part of the Danvers, MA injection molding team and will be responsible for safely maintaining injection molding machines (6 to 25 ton), molds, and associated ancillary equipment and tooling.

You will perform the maintenance department’s scheduled preventive maintenance including disassembly, inspection, cleaning, and facilitation of repairs of injection molds, tooling, and machines. You will also assist with configuration and set-up of production molds.


Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Work with engineers to perform following on projects:

  • Perform inspections on molded parts for engineering builds.
  • Offer solutions to technical issues.
  • Ability to operate molding machine.
  • Train operators / technicians when project transfers to operations.
  • Operating molding machine for engineering builds.
  • Mold setup in molding machine.

Non-project responsibilities:

  • Maintain adequate spare parts inventory for molding machines and auxiliary equipment.
  • Safe, efficient, and timely completion of preventative maintenance work orders
  • Promote and maintain positive working relationships with multiple teams
  • Assure that mold set up, changeovers, and housekeeping standards are met
  • Execute timely hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical machine repairs
  • Other duties may be assigned as necessary.
  • Perform inspection, cleaning, preservation, repair, and storage of production molds
  • Trouble shoot issues with molding machine in conjunction with manufacturer.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience of relevant experience and may require vocational or technical education or certification in addition to prior work experience

  • Strong communication skills interacting with all levels of a company’s hierarchy
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent prioritization and follow up skills
  • Experience working in fast pace, high change environment, with limited supervision
  • 4+ years of 'hands-on' injection molding process and maintenance experience
  • Proven strong mechanical abilities & knowledge
