JOB DESCRIPTION


Are you a Microsoft Server pro with expertise building, configuring, and supporting enterprise virtualization comprised of on-premise and cloud servers and services? Are you well versed in managing and supporting VMWare, VSphere, vROPs, and Windows Server. Can you help us automate tasks and processes using PowerShell?

We’re looking for a Systems Administrator who has experience building and managing Windows Server Active Directory and other core services on the Windows platform. This position is based in either Stamford, CT, Richmond, VA, Plano, TX or remote.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Design and manage VMWare and Windows Active Directory, GPOs, DNS, and other Windows core services.
  • Resolve escalated issues from the IT Service Desk and other IT departments.
  • Proactively monitor servers to anticipate and mitigate problems.
  • Abide by all Change Management, Service Management and Incident Management processes and procedures. Attend Change Approval Board (CAB) meetings, and Incident Management conference calls as needed.
  • Participate in the after-hours on-call rotation and respond to business emergencies.
  • Create and manage scripts to perform system tasks with PowerShell.


Required Experience and Skills:

  • PowerShell. Practical scripting knowledge to automate tasks and processes using PowerShell.
  • Enterprise-level Server Administration. Demonstrated experience in managing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise-level server administration.
  • Microsoft SCCM. Enterprise experience in Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager including building and deploying packages is a plus
  • Networking. General knowledge in Networking, i.e. TCP/IP, firewall, network routing
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Windows Server Administration. 5+ years of relevant experience in MS Windows server administration.
  • IT Runbooks. Ability to create and manage IT runbooks, and system and project documentation
