You have a strong understanding of Distributed Systems, Infrastructure, Automation, and SaaS-based release models. You have experience working to automate, deploy and manage applications with data analytics and continuous deployment automation tool-sets. You can apply the best coding practices and data analysis to build more efficient and ever-increasing quality systems.

AS A INFRASTRUCTURE AND AUTOMATION ENGINEER AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
- Design and build tooling and infrastructure to drive adoption of best practices in resource utilization, organization, monitoring and maintainability of existing deployments.
- Define and maintain policies around developer, test, and validation deployments
- Design and build automation around deployment management.
- Strong sense of ownership and desire to build great tools for other engineers.
- Collaborate with other teams on effective test coverage, software feature management, and spin-up of resources as required.
- Lead/contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems in tools and testing.
OUR IDEAL INFRASTRUCTURE AND AUTOMATION ENGINEER WILL HAVE:
- At least 5+ years of experience in software development (SaaS experience preferred).
- Experience and knowledge of Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Snowflake a plus
- Self-driven & motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple requests for competing resources.
- BS/CS, MS/CS or equivalent.
- Attention to detail and ability to build reliable and scalable software systems.
- Experience with Cloud-based infrastructure systems is a plus. (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Solid interpersonal skills that are conducive to a team environment.
- Able to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve complex technical issues.
- Comfortable with open systems environments and scripting experience.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with a service-oriented mindset.
- Prefer strong coding skills in Python/Java/C++
The following represents the expected range of compensation for this role:
- Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake’s bonus and equity plan.
- The estimated base salary range for this role is $214,000 - $327,700.
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
