The Video Applications team is looking for a software QA engineer with a background in automation for iOS and/or macOS applications. Familiarity with video editing applications would be great but not necessary. This position will be with the team that delivered the Final Cut Pro for iPad. It requires a highly self-directed individual with strong creative, technical and analytic skills and passion for emerging technologies related to visual storytelling.

Key Qualifications

5+ years of demonstrated ability in QA/QE
Minimum of 3 years experience as a Tools and Automation Engineer with experience programming in Python and/or Swift
Proficiency in testing mobile and desktop apps with Frontend UI automation
Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, QA terminology and processes
Superior organizational and communication skills (oral, written and interpersonal)
Comfortable and adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Inquisitive and persistent problem solver
Experience with video editing valued
Experience in motion graphics valued

Description

In this role, you will be responsible for planning, designing, writing, maintaining and completing test cases manually and through automation using Python and/or Swift. You will drive all aspects of quality and process improvements to help the team ensure that our features are rock-solid and ready to be released to our customers. Report bugs with outstanding isolation and regression techniques will be the key to your success. This role requires balancing a wide variety of work that will rely on your talent for managing priorities and communicating progress and risks effectively and systematically. Your ongoing curiosity and dedication to self-education in video technologies as well as new testing techniques is what will set you apart. You will be working closely with other team members to help coordinate multi-functional test efforts.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $125,800 and $229,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
