We are searching for a full-time IT Support Specialist for our client in the manufacturing tool/knife industry. In this position, you will support the company’s enterprise desktop infrastructure, IT hardware budget, and the implementation of hardware and software projects. Additionally, you will perform all aspects of first-level support for all of our client’s IT systems and be involved with the implementation and standardization of our client’s On-premises and Cloud infrastructure. As IT Support Specialist, you will:

  • Utilize, recommend, or implement automation of common processes.
  • Effectively utilize systems for incident tracking, task management, documentation, and completing service requests within SLA requirements.
  • Perform system maintenance and optimization to assure the highest level of availability and performance.
  • Participate in mitigating security risks on enterprise systems for data security and privacy compliance.
  • Maintain the Service Delivery knowledge library as required.
  • Coordinate and apply security patches to enterprise systems.
  • Support our client’s Azure Compute initiatives, environment, and on-premises data center.
  • Determine and recommend which products or services best fit the customer’s needs.
  • Field customer requests to identify and implement solutions.
  • Install and configure application and operating system software, new releases, and upgrades. This includes evaluating and installing patches and resolving software-related problems limited to functionality provided by the software vendor.
  • Order hardware, software, and replacement parts as needed within budgetary frameworks. Work with vendors to verify timely product delivery and installation.
  • Work closely with Network, Security, ERP, BI, Web, and Applications team members to ensure that all systems function together and meet business goals and objectives.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop PCs and peripherals such as printers for new and existing employees.


Additional Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate training sessions for company employees in the operation of software/hardware systems.
  • Manage projects pertaining to company related goals/system upgrades.

Who we’re searching for / About you:

  • Two to three years of desktop hardware and software support experience required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and decision-making abilities required.
  • Experience with end-user administration tools including Azure Active Directory, MECM, PowerShell, and remote tools such as BeyondTrust Remote Support.
  • Basic familiarity with the “x-as-a-service” model administration concepts, including Azure Cloud Computing resource management, service administration, and process automation.
  • Strong testing discipline for changes before promoting to production.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology preferred.
  • Experience with administration of online Microsoft 365 services including Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft Admin Center preferred.
  • Experience with end-user administration of local Microsoft Active Directory domains required.


Logistics:

  • $70,000/Year

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently sits; talks and hears; uses hands to finger, handle, grasp, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee occasionally stands and walks; climbs; twists, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls.

The employee frequently lifts and/or moves up to 5 lbs., and occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 55 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Working Conditions/Physical Hazards:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office environment, and occasionally exposed to production environment. Work area is well lit and air conditioned.

All employees are expected to adhere to Company safety policies and wear personal protective equipment when exposed to work areas or performing tasks where it is required.
