Infant/Toddler Teacher Jobs

Summary

Creative Hands Learning Center is looking for a full time infant/toddler teacher to join our team.
Qualified candidates must be energetic, enthusiastic, and flexible, with a sense of humor and love for children.
This position is from 8:15am-5:15pm (M-F)
The right candidates will need:

• Understanding of Vermont Child Care Regulations
• Great rapport with families
• Experience working with groups of children ages 1-3 years

Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have a minimum of a high school diploma/GED, and meet the expectations of the Northern Lights Career Development Center Level 1 in order to qualify as a Teaching Assistant as stated in the Vermont Early Childhood Regulations. Interested persons should be hard working, dependable, team players, and be willing to advance academically, as training is a state requirement. If you are interested and unsure if you meet the requirements apply today we are willing to train the right person!

Position is paid weekly on Fridays

Duties

Individuals would be responsible for: maintaining classroom/school cleanliness and organization, delivering age appropriate curriculum as directed, communicating with parents about their children as directed, daily care for up to 8 children, and of course, providing loving care to the children in our school!

Requirements

Minimum requirements per state regulations:

• High school diploma or GED
• At least a Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder level one or two
• At least 18 years old

OR

• At least a current CDA and 12 months experience working with children grade 3 or younger

OR

• At least a state board of education approved human services program certificate that emphasizes child development or early childhood education and at least 12 months experience working with groups of children grade 3 or younger.

OR

• At least successful completion of the Fundamentals for early childhood professionals' and at least 12 months experience working with children grade 3 or younger

OR

• At least successful completion of 3 college credit course in child or human development or a 3 college credit course for school age care and education and at least 12 months experience working with children grade 3 or younger.

• Have the ability to work independently and cooperatively with other staff members

All candidates must meet the requirements set forth by the Child Development Division.
