Job description
Industrial Mechanic position for service and repair of electric motors, pumps, gearboxes, and other industrial equipment in Florida.
Responsibilities

• Set tolerances for bearing fits and clearances, motor connections and testing.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
• Operate lifting equipment such as forklifts, hoists, and cranes.
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble various types of rotation equipment, such as pumps, centrifugal, submersible, vertical turbine, Gear reducers, electric motors, and blowers.
• Fill out service reports.
• Repair various kinds of electro-mechanical equipment
• Must be able to push, drag or pull up to 100lbs.
• Assist field service in removal and installation of pumps and electric motors.
• Assist field service with turnkey services at customer sites.
• Must have a driver’s license and able to pass a DOT physical. Class B CDL a plus

Schedule: Mon-Fri, work overtime when asked
Licenses and Certifications: Must have valid drivers license, B Class and CDL a plus.
Qualifications

• Ideal candidates will have experience in rotating apparatus repair of electric motors, pumps, blowers, etc.) or 5 years of mechanical experience.
• Experience in an electric motor/job shop environment:

o Taking precision measurements
o Troubleshooting and solving problems both electrically and mechanically.
o The understanding of vibration analysis and alignment is a plus.
