Industrial Mechanic Jobs

Javan Engineering has an opening at a client site for an Industrial Mechanic and is seeking qualified candidates.This position is fully on-site and candidates will need to reliably commute to Lansdale, PA.
Principal Activities and Responsibilities:

• Maintain clean and organized work area
• Materials handling and rigging of parts for repair and shipment
• Evaluate machine condition, and make appropriate repairs
• Disassemble, Inspect, make repairs using a variety of hand and power tools to dewatering equipment in a repair shop environment.
• Clean parts as necessary
• Operate overhead cranes and forklifts.
• Make equipment modifications (Light fabrication and welding)
• Work on a variety of equipment such as pumps, grinders, belt filter presses, conveyors etc.

Requirements
Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to work independently
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Travel may be required (Less than 10%)
• Organizational skills for parts and inventory
• Must have valid driver’s license
• Mechanical aptitude
• Maintain high quality of workmanship and productivity
• Welding experience a plus
• Fabrication skills a plus
• Proficient in written and verbal communication
• Ability to multitask in a fast paced environment
• Work in a safety oriented environment
• Operate tools and equipment required for industrial maintenance
