Summary

Under general supervision, this position will perform a wide variety of custodial and maintenance duties in order to provide a clean, orderly, and safe environment.

Responsibilities

• Cardboard, wood, and steel recycling
• Other duties as assigned
• Keep VPC port clean and free of debris
• Respond to emergency calls as needed
• Maintain and replenish inventory
• Inventory and equipment maintenance
• Maintain bathroom, break area, and basic facilities cleanliness
• Operate and maintain equipment
• Trash removal
• Including snow removal and light maintenance issues such as clogged toilets, broken broom handles, etc
• Report any mechanical, manual, and/or preventative issues to management in a timely manner
• Operate various cleaning equipment
• Perform trash removal duties in accordance to established procedures
• Provide custodial assistance

Qualifications

Skills

• Must be able to effectively communicate with Facilities Maintenance Manager and team members on all maintenance or supply issues

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma/G.E.D.
• 1 year of Custodial experience

Physical Requirements

• Drive
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Bend/stoop
• Squat/crouch
• Stand
• Push/pull
• Kneel
• Carry up to 40 lbs.

Working and Environmental Conditions

This position works in a plant manufacturing/warehouse setting.

• Exposure to paint, paint thinner, and sanding dust
• Operate color machines and hand-held scanners
• Precisely perform sanding, brushing touch-ups, and taping
• Operate buffer machines
• The position is based out of Philadelphia, PA at a plant manufacturing/warehousing environment.
