Industrial Designer Jobs

Overwatch is looking for an Industrial Designer.The job title and compensation will be based on qualifications. However, we have a few brief questions for candidates that are considering applying for the position:

1. Do you have a natural internal curiosity about the way things work that drives you to take things apart to find out how they work?
2. Are you interested in having the opportunity to work on a variety of products for clients in a wide range of industries?
3. Does the idea of collaborating with team members from multiple disciplines in order to create clever product solutions excite you?

If the answers to all three questions above is YES.....here are a few more detailed expectations for the position:

• Prototyping skills
• Proficient communication skills to interact and consult with clients
• Cross discipline experience with graphic design and/or mechanical design is a HUGE PLUS!
• Ability to work with internal and external resources such as Engineers and other Designers
• User research to understand the various ways a particular product might be used, and who will use it
• Knowledge and experience generating photorealistic renderings
• Understanding of materials and manufacturing requirements
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design
• Experience with Solidworks and Keyshot software to develop virtual models of different designs
• Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Present designs and prototypes to clients for approval
• Sketching skills in order to quickly generate ideas and concepts
