Job Description

Responsibilities:

  1. Design and execute experiments to elucidate the cellular mechanisms underlying T-cell behavior, activation, and effector functions in the context of T-cell oncology therapy.
  2. Investigate the interaction between T cells and tumor cells to understand the factors influencing tumor recognition, antigen presentation, and tumor killing.
  3. Characterize the immune microenvironment of solid tumors, including the identification and profiling of immune cell populations and their functional phenotypes.
  4. Utilize advanced flow cytometry techniques and cell sorting to analyze T-cell populations and assess their activation status, differentiation, and exhaustion markers.
  5. Employ imaging technologies, such as confocal microscopy and live-cell imaging, to visualize T-cell interactions with tumor cells and evaluate their spatial distribution within the tumor microenvironment.
  6. Conduct functional assays to evaluate T-cell effector functions, such as cytokine secretion, cytotoxicity, and immune checkpoint molecule expression, to assess the therapeutic potential of T-cell oncology therapies.
  7. Collaborate closely with computational biologists and bioinformaticians to analyze and interpret high-dimensional single-cell data, including transcriptomics and proteomics, to gain insights into T-cell biology and identify novel therapeutic targets.
  8. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in cell biology and immunology research, and apply this knowledge to develop innovative approaches and technologies for enhancing T-cell therapy efficacy.
  9. Provide scientific guidance and mentorship to junior scientists, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  10. Contribute to the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  11. Participate in project planning, including experimental design, timeline management, and resource allocation, to achieve project goals and milestones.

Requirements:

  1. Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Immunology, Molecular Biology, or a related field. Candidates with a Master's degree and extensive industry experience will also be considered.
  2. Demonstrated expertise in T-cell biology, immunology, or related fields with a strong focus on cell biology techniques and their application to the study of T-cell oncology therapy.
  3. Proven experience in advanced flow cytometry techniques, including multicolor panel design, data acquisition, and analysis, to characterize immune cell populations and their functional phenotypes.
  4. Proficiency in cellular imaging techniques, such as confocal microscopy and live-cell imaging, to investigate T-cell interactions with tumor cells and assess their spatial distribution within the tumor microenvironment.
  5. Experience with functional assays to evaluate T-cell effector functions, including cytokine secretion, cytotoxicity, and immune checkpoint molecule expression.
  6. Familiarity with single-cell analysis techniques, such as RNA-seq and proteomics, and the ability to work collaboratively with computational biologists and bioinformaticians for data analysis and interpretation.
  7. Strong publication record demonstrating scientific contributions in the field of cell biology and/or immunology.
  8. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced research environment.
  9. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences.
  10. Prior experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry setting, especially in the field of T-cell oncology therapy, is preferred.

Join our team and contribute to the advancement of T-cell oncology therapy with a focus on cell biology, working towards improving the lives of cancer patients worldwide. Together, we can make a significant impact in the fight against cancer.
