Responsibilities

Luma is looking to hire an Art Portfolio Reviewer for Undergraduate College Admissions starting immediately. The responsibilities are as follow:

·Work with students in understanding what is required and what is recommended for a well-rounded high quality art portfolio at selective art programs in New York City.

·Work with students on creating, reviewing, and finalizing their college admissions arts portfolio.

·Work closely with Luma founder, Fran, in finalizing the student’s college applications.

·Work with students to create a personalized schedule toward finalizing college applications.

·Set goals for and with students on a weekly basis and follow up on the progress of those goals.

Requirements

·Solid understanding of what is required to produce a high quality art portfolio for selective undergraduate art programs in New York.

·Major in Illustration, Animation, Illustration Character Design, Graphic Design, Design & Technology, and Design (General)

·Familiarity with Common App, Zoom, Slideroom

·Able to teach virtually in a serene environment, neutral color wall background, minimal background noise.

Preferred Qualifications

·Has completed art portfolio review programs at university.

·Art portfolio review experience preferred

·Ability to think creativity

·Familiarity with visual art major curriculum

·Graduate from Parsons School of Design – The New School
