Locations: United States; Oriskany, NY - Virtual Role with In Person Training .(New hires must Live within a commutable Distance of the Oriskany, NY Location)


Role Value Proposition:


Global Operations (Global Ops) focuses on creating positive experiences for MetLife customers and helping the company make the best use of its global resources. We’re looking for unique talent with fresh perspectives that can propel innovation. In this role, your primary function will be answering incoming calls from policyholders, beneficiaries, attorneys and families of the deceased employee, providing them with superior customer service, and answering any questions they may have.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Virtual roles predominately work from a home office with periodic visits to the assigned GCSO office as needed for team events, meetings, training, business continuity, etc.
  • Expectation of working a combination of the following shifts: 8:00am-4:30pm EST and/or 11:30am-8:00pm EST
  • Provide guidance to beneficiaries via telephone on claim processes and resolve customer issues swiftly and thoroughly. Reviews data from various sources, including policyholders; translates it into appropriate media for input into a Windows based computer system (BIOS).
  • Maintain call handling and quality standards. Provide high quality, timely customer service to policyholders, beneficiaries, attorneys, families of deceased employees and administration; resolve customer issues swiftly and thoroughly by offering recommendations and solutions.
  • Answers complex telephone inquiries related to Group Life Claim insurance benefits.


Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:


Required:


  • Ability to adjust to multiple demands and shifting priorities.
  • Strong data entry skills required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • High School Diploma / GED.
