Job Description
Luke has an exciting career opportunity available! Under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the HR Generalist is responsible for administering the primary functions of the Human Resources department. The primary functions include employee relations, onboarding, benefits, recruitment, with a focus on being an integral partner to the functional Manager.

SITE OF SERVICE: Hybrid/Corporate Office, Rockledge, FL


FLSA: Salaried, Exempt

  • Certifications for Human Resource Professionals (PHR, SPHR) preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • 3+ years Human Resources Generalist experience.
  • Knowledge of database software, email systems, and office software.
  • Excellent organizational skills.


Core Duties


  • Conduct employee and supervisor training including benefits, policies and procedures and prevention of harassment and discrimination.
  • Assist in the management and execution of bonus plans, merit processes, and routine/special request reports.
  • Conduct open enrollment and other benefits-related programs as needed.
  • Assure company policies are administered fairly and consistently throughout the area of responsibility.
  • Assist in the annual budget planning process as needed.
  • Assist in the formulation of objectives for personnel policies and procedures, and manpower goals.
  • Conduct complex/sensitive employee relations investigations.
  • Assist with the organization's performance management process by coaching, educating, and providing feedback to managers/supervisors.
  • Provide counseling and direction to employees, facilitate communication, and help to resolve conflicts that impact employee engagement.
  • Anticipate and plan for long-term human resource needs and trends in partnership with business management.
  • Provide guidance on employment related issues (such as ADA, FMLA, FLSA, harassment, discrimination, diversity, corrective action, and progressive discipline) to operations leadership.
  • Perform advanced employee relations functions including support and counseling regarding personnel and job-related conflicts, problem solving and dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, review and assessment of termination requests, conduct exit interviews.
  • Perform audit and compliance functions as requested on items such as audit reports verification, commission reports and payroll information.
  • Creates and develops model for sustaining positive employee relations and positive culture building.
  • Coordinate the administration of all Leave of Absence programs and processes including transitional work and accommodations.
  • Performs other assignments as directed.
  • Generate solutions and implements with input from more senior HR teammates.
  • Timely and accurate entries for onboarding including new-hires, data entry in human resources information systems and company software systems.
  • Travel required to assigned locations.
  • Recruit and staff from internal and external sources.
  • Provide employee with ADA, FMLA, and other applicable paperwork.
  • Maintain employee records in compliance with state and federal requirements.
  • Provides HR support to operations safety programs, initiatives and processes including return to work and coordination of workers compensation programs.
  • Effectively communicate and execute necessary changes to policies and procedures.

Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be able and willing to prioritize on short notice and work on multiple simultaneous projects. Flexible and able to work with various personalities. Teamwork skills required. Time management skills required. The ability to meet deadlines in a deadline intensive environment is essential. High level of adaptability and willingness to embrace change in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
