Job Description

Decorum Recruiting is working alongside a 25 million dollar Private Equity backed Home Services Business for a Human Resources Generalist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recruitment efforts, new hire orientation and onboarding, employee termination, payroll and benefits, company policy and procedure adherence. In addition, you will build strong relationships with our company's managers in order to help them with their human resource needs.


Team Member Relations:

  • Administration of the payroll process for all departments including gathering hours worked, calculating commissions and bonuses, and verifying overtime compliance.
  • Act as main point-of-contact for employees with questions/issues related to payroll, benefits, policies and procedures, escalating as necessary.
  • Performs exit interviews and provides feedback for improvements.
  • Ensure a positive Team Member experience, including onboarding and new hire orientation.
  • Administers full cycle talent acquisition process, including applicant sourcing, recruiting & advertising, outreach events, and building and maintaining effective relationship with local agencies and staffing partners.
  • Maintain and update building communication channels and boards with relevant current events and postings.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to acquire top talent through improved selection tools, criteria, and local outreach efforts.
  • Assists team with enrollment in benefit programs as well as answer general questions regarding eligibility guidelines.


Talent Acquisition:

  • Screen candidates resumes and job applications.
  • Assess applicants’ knowledge, skills, soft skills, experience, and aptitudes.
  • Conduct interviews using various recruiting and selection tools/methods to filter candidates.
  • Oversees pre-employment eligibility screenings
  • Develop and update job descriptions and job specifications.
  • Monitor and apply recruiting best practices and leverage internal resources.


What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, Marketing, Psychology, or related field preferred
  • A minimum of two- three years of human resources or related experience required
