Job Description

Location: Downtown Pittsburgh, PA - 2/3 Hybrid

Job Type: Direct Hire

The A.C. Coy Company is currently seeking candidates for a full-time HR Generalist role. This individual will be responsible for key talent management processes and the daily functions of a busy Human Resources department. Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, performance management, leave management, training and development, HRMS administration, policy implementation and employment law compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Backs up the creation, implementation and communication of learning programs to meet functional and/or organizational needs; Identifies and fulfills training needs through working with leadership and department managers; Manages all logistical aspects of training and development, including the scheduling, registration and other logistics
  • Serves as a backup on payroll processing, recordkeeping and system maintenance
  • Manages and maintains Workday HCM modules including compensation, benefits and leave management; Serves as a backup on talent, onboarding and performance modules; Leads efforts to implement and improve new functionality and support testing during biannual releases. Generates and analyzes metrics, evaluations, pulse surveys and status reports; Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Serves as a backup point-of-contact for external recruiters and learning and development vendors; Project manages outsourced positions and L&D programs, including managing vendors to ensure budget, deliverables and timelines are met; Manages integrations with recruiting vendors; Troubleshoots user issues and serves as business process expert in respective functions; Supports contracting and invoice payment consistent with vendor management policies; Reviews and edits statements of work and ensures all processes have been followed including vendor review
  • Responsible for specific compensation and benefits programs, and processes, including job profiles/descriptions, job benchmarking/evaluation, execution of both annual and ad hoc compensation changes, benefits program communications and training, and Workday administrative processes
  • Partners with HR personnel on employee onboarding and offboarding processes with a focus on new hire payroll, benefits orientation and organizational change administration; Works closely with other HR personnel in new hire and separation processing, including Workday administration, to coordinate and schedule new hire onboarding sessions, facilitate new employee orientation and conduct exit interviews


Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including preparation of presentations
  • Experience in HRMS administration and application tracking system
  • Minimum of two years of experience in payroll administration
  • Experience in compensation and benefits administrative process in a fast paced, service-oriented environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain credible professional relationships with colleagues and vendors to achieve business goals
  • Knowledge of federal, local and state employment laws, and general human resources policies and procedures

Preferred

  • PHR/SHRM-CP or compensation/benefits certifications
  • Experience with Workday HCM including compensation, benefits and onboarding
