Job Description

Mount Nittany Health is currently recruiting for a temporary, full-time Human Resources Generalist. This temporary, fifteen (15) month assignment, will run concurrent with the organization's implementation of a new Human Capital Management (HCM) system.


In partnership with the Director, Human Resources, supports the human resources function by interfacing with employees on a wide range of services including benefits and compensation administration, training and employee development, employee communications, performance management, regulatory compliance, EEO, and employee relations.


Essential Functions


Assists in the development and implementation of HR strategies and metrics that are aligned with organization objectives and support meeting performance budget objectives.


Assists in the development and implementation of HR programs, processes and solutions that support the strategic and operational plans of the organization. Identifies and recommends HR process and policy improvements as needed and as appropriate.


Drives consistency in administering human resource policies and procedures to ensure that employees receive fair, appropriate and reasonable support.


Performs and/or supports core HR operational end-to-end processes including benefits and compensation administration, training and employee development, and performance management activities.


Partnering with the Director, Human Resources, provides coaching and counseling to employees on employee relations issues and works effectively at the tactical level to resolve problems efficiently and timely.


Supports all human resources reoccurring processes to include performance review, required training, benefit open enrollment, professional certification and licensure tracking, policy and procedure review and reporting of metrics and data.


Assists in the development and delivery of a variety of training programs that support ongoing employee development and drives a culture of high performance and employee engagement.


Maintains a strong working knowledge of Federal and State employment law, FMLA, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Makes a continuous effort to stay current of changes in the human resources field, including current trends and best practices to support the changing needs of healthcare.


Education


Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, business or related field required.


Experience


Minimum of two (2) years of broad-based, human resources generalist experience preferred.


Previous Healthcare Experience Preferred.


Knowledge, Skills, Abilities


Strong working knowledge of all areas of Human Resources.


Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written forms.


Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and the ability to protect highly sensitive information.


Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.


Working knowledge of various computer applications and software including MS Office suite, Oracle Cloud, and HRIS UKG Dimensions.


Strong team building, coaching, and facilitation skills.


Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast paced environment.


Knowledge of human resource laws and regulations as they relate to the supported functions.
