Job Description
Essential Job Functions


  • Coordinate new employee onboarding process and assist new hires to ensure smooth onboarding. Schedule HR orientation for newly hired benefit- eligible employees.
  • Daily review and/or respond to [email protected] and [email protected] email accounts. Weekly review of other accounts as required.
  • Support HR director with the coordination of HR-related activities, events and/or trainings. Provide administrative support for the Human Resources department. Assist with recruitment, onboarding, benefits and internal or external inquiries. Refer complex and/or sensitive matters to Director of HR.
  • Coordinate certain employee notifications and/or documentation such as new hires, performance evaluations and open enrollment documents. Assist with updating HR documents, as required and, update/maintain employee records and personnel files.
  • Assist Director of HR with recruitment activities:
  • Receive approval documents, create job postings, posts position to job boards and forward resumes to hiring managers. Support Director of HR with recruitment efforts to build relationships with organizations to improve pipeline of diverse candidates for job vacancies. May respond to employees, applicants, or job candidates.


Update and maintain certain HR/employee related data in I-SOLVED (HRIS).


  • Meet regularly with supervisor/team and work collaboratively with all staff. Participate in Federation staff meetings and Visions of Community Conference (VOC).
  • Perform other tasks and assume other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor.
  • Provide coverage for the Federation’s Office Administrator during scheduled vacation and/or predictable absences. Take initiative to continuously learn other facets of human resources and improve HR best practices to improve efficiency in the organization.


Required Qualifications


  • Able to meet designated deadlines and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in HR or recruitment is also preferred.
  • Detail oriented plus good communication (verbal/written), interpersonal, and organizational skills is required.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is preferred. A combination of education and experience can be substituted.
  • Proficient in PC-based computer skills, including use of email, Internet, ZOOM and Microsoft Office.
