JOB BRIEF
We are seeking a talented Human Resource Generalist to join our team. The Human Resource Generalist will provide HR support to a designated business unit for all functions during the entire employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent development and retention. This is a temporary non-exempt role for about 6-months for parental leave coverage. This position is remote.

WHAT DO WE EXPECT FROM YOU
What you will do
- Assist with employee relations matters including investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Assist business leaders for assigned business unit(s) with entire employee life cycle including onboarding, performance management, talent calibration, talent growth and development, compensation planning, and administration.
- Manage the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, particularly for managerial and professional roles; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Process employee payroll and benefits using an HRIS
- Familiarity with HR Systems and data-driven decision making. Analyzing reports to report on patterns and trends to improve employee engagement and retention
- Partner with business leaders to understand and execute the organization’s people and culture strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, performance management, compensation reviews, employee wellness, learning and development, and overall talent attraction and retention.
- Perform other duties, as assigned.
- Lead the job architecture project working closely with the HR team and various stakeholders. Work with leadership and the HR team to develop and implement a competency framework, job levels, compensation bands, and career pathing for the entire organization
Who you are
- 7+ years of human resource experience preferred.
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
- Proficiency in or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
- Desire to work as a team with a result-driven approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks as appropriate.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Google Suite.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- PHR, SHRM-CP or SPHR, SHRM-SCP highly desirable
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Experience leading and implementing job architecture for a similar organization is high desirable
- Ability to work west coast hours (Pacific) to provide coverage for the HR team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

SALARY RANGE:
$65,000 to $80,000 annualized
