Position Description
We are looking for a Human Resource Generalist to join the HR team. Success in this role may open the doors to many opportunities for advancement within the company!
As a key member of the HR team, the Human Resource Generalist will report to the HR Manager and assume a critical role in managing the employee lifecycle, including company culture, employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration, training and development, reward management, regulatory compliance and other Human Resources functions in collaboration with the HR team.
Position Key Criteria/Requirements
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • At least two years of human resource experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Position Measurable Accountabilities
  • Creates employee engagement plans, gets necessary budget approval, and initiates activities.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Source, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and sensitive matters to the appropriate team members.
Position Key Technical Competencies
  • Microsoft Office Suite Proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
