Job Description
Job Responsibilities


Under limited supervision, the HRIS Consultant coordinates and maintains all human resource records and data information in the internal Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), data processing systems, and SCEIS Integration/Data Transfer Process. Recommends, coordinates, and implements efficient means of HR data collection, transfer, management and maintenance. Generates regular and special reports regarding HR personnel data, employee information, and position management. Ensures changes and updates to all systems are implemented effectively and efficiently. Assists with classification and compensation functions and actions.


Minimum And Additional Requirements


A bachelor’s degree and relevant human resources experience. A master’s degree in human resources management may substitute for the required experience.


Coordinating and managing a Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and Data Processing Systems in a higher education and/or government setting. Experience working with the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS). Knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources management. Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply federal and state laws, regulations, policies and practices governing human resources. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely verbally and in writing. Ability to exercise good judgment in analyzing situations and making recommendations and/or decisions within delegated level of authority. Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. A demonstrated compliance with and appreciation for HR and operational integrity.
