This position will be based at our new Recruiting and Training Center in DuBois, PA.
JOB TITLE: HR Pilot Recruiter
DEPARTMENT: Human Resources
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pilot Recruiter is a valuable partner responsible for delivering all facets of pilot recruiting by effectively building and implementing a plan to attract top talent to fly our various aircraft. The ideal candidate will support and successfully execute pilot staffing strategies in a competitive hiring environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the screening, interview, and offer stages of the hiring process. Screen and interview candidates via phone or video. Assess minimum qualifications and requirements.
- Analyze recruiting trends, best sources, and recruiting metrics to guide the Department on when and where to target talent.
- Initiate and ensure smooth transition to new hire processing through start of pilot training class or first day of hire.
- Attract top talent based upon forecasted headcount, turnover, and changing talent needs.
- Build and maintain a quality pipeline through fostering long-term relationships with potential candidates.
- Proactively source and identify active and passive candidates leveraging a wide variety of tools and techniques.
- Ensure all activities related to the pre-employment process are completed successfully and in a timely manner prior to the start of pilot training classes.
- Provide feedback to candidates to ensure a positive experience regardless of hiring decision.
- Ability to travel intermittently (not more than 15% of the time) for various recruiting and presentation functions. Ability to work up to three hours on alternating Sunday evenings to welcome arriving pilots.
- Provide weekly/monthly activity reports highlighting search progress and disposition of all pilot candidates.
- Create interest and educate potential candidates pursuing an airline career about the company, our culture, and opportunities.
- Successfully use company CRM software.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong people skills – ability to communicate succinctly and effectively across all levels of the organization.
- Experience in ADP WorkforceNow preferred.
- Meticulous and initiative-taking; able to work and meet deadlines under minimal supervision.
- At least two (2) years in recruiting; full life cycle recruiting experience; aviation industry and high-volume recruiting strongly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of social networking platforms, online communications, and other sourcing channels.
- Knowledge of, or the ability to become proficient in, applicant tracking systems, CRM tools, virtual recruiting tools, the Federal DOT Drug & Alcohol program, and the PRIA process.
- Proven ability to build a talent pipeline and bench.
- Ability to manage and maintain confidentiality in all areas.
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field; or equivalent industry and recruiting experience.
- Professional certification in Human Resources a plus.
Work Experience:
- Prefer at least two (2) years in Human Resources and/or full-cycle recruiting.
- Prior experience in the airline industry.
Miscellaneous Requirements:
- Ability to work within a 24/7 operation including holidays.
- Ability to read, write and speak English effectively.
- Ability to pass 10-year background check and pre-employment drug screen as required by airline regulations and company policies.
- Computer, phone skills
- Authorized to work in the U.S. per the Immigration Act of 1986.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Physical requirements:
- Must be able to move up to 25 pounds on an infrequent basis.
- Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position in a normal office environment.
- Must be able to access filing cabinets, drawers, and shelves of varying height.
- Must be able to communicate through verbal, written, and electronic means.
