Job Description
The Human Resource Generalist is part of the Corporate Human Resources (HR) team and will focus on: New employee onboarding and orientation; employee relations; administering pay and leaves; and employee and manager development for assigned client groups. This role reports into our HR Manager. Our ideal candidate will thrive in a positive, open and honest environment. We strive to provide ultimate customer service to our members to support their efforts in increasing same store sales and profits.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
In this role you will support our Corporate team in the below areas. This is not an inclusive list and may change based on the needs of the organization.
  • Works as a key member of our Human Resources team. Actions must always stress a sense of cooperation, integrity, tact and consideration with our members, teammates and division management.
  • Onboards new employees in our Oracle HCM and partners with IT to ensure new employees are set up and ready to go on day one.
  • Performs data entry KRONOS timekeeping system as needed.
  • Responds to employee relations issues such as employee concerns, harassment allegations, and civil rights complaints in partnership with our HR Manager.
  • Responds to state unemployment claims on terminated employees.
  • Sits on the Employee Committee and works as part of the team to coordinate employee activities and Corporate employee communications.
  • Ensures confidentiality on privacy matters and demonstrates good judgment.
  • Plays a key role in our summer internship program.
  • Responsible for tracking and maintaining all appropriate records for all leaves of absences, including working with insurance carriers on short term and long term disability matters.
  • Supports annual company-wide performance management process (PMP) and Talent Planning Process (TPP).
  • Performs entry of salary and other payroll related changes, including new hires and terminations.
  • Conducts new-employee orientation.
  • Partners with our Benefits team to assist employees with questions and concerns.
