Shift
Primarily days with core hours from 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. Additional hours required as workload demands

Job Summary
With a direct reporting relationship to the AVP University of Kentucky HealthCare (UKHC) HR and a dotted reporting relationship to the Business Development leader, this position leads both the UKHC HR Mergers and Acquisitions function and UKHC HR Service delivery assessment and implementation. This role will partner with internal and external leaders to ensure the most effective design and delivery of excellent patient-centered care through HR design, alignment when appropriate with UKHC policies and processes and leveraging existing resources within other organizations under consideration for partnership with UKHC.
The HR Director/Community Health:
  • Drives consistent delivery of HR policies and practices across assigned organization and ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations pertaining to Human Resources.
  • Manages HR due diligence and integration planning to support practices through consecutive and concurrent acquisitions, ensuring timely completion.
  • Identifies potential issues, communicates them effectively, and finds appropriate solutions.
  • Delivers strategic thought leadership in partnership with HRBPs and business to enable successful people outcomes.
  • Drives continuous HR process improvement, including assessing, evaluating, and recommending HR models, tools, and technologies that standardize, automate, and optimize HR M&A processes.
  • Develops operating procedures, project plans and tools for end-to-end transaction management.
  • Writes and delivers communication (and communication timelines) designed to facilitate a smooth transition into UKHC.
  • Collaborates with leadership to execute mergers and acquisitions and ensure alignment of the organization’s HR agenda with the overall UKHC HR delivery model.
  • Leads the development and execution of M&A activities that impact human capital costs, employee engagement, retention, and other key performance indicators through the tracking, trending, and analysis of people data.
  • Makes recommendations for job mapping, benefit / perk comparison, and compensation mapping, in partnership with key stakeholders on the project.
  • Identifies needs of leaders, develops appropriate training, and communicates needs to HRBP for follow through.
  • Develops the HR operating procedures and project plans for mergers and acquisitions of the organization in alignment with overall UKHC HR strategy and business objectives.


MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to travel 25-50% of the time.
  • 5+ years of experience in Human Resources or related field, with healthcare and project management experience preferred.
  • Master’s degree in HR, Business, or related field.
  • Process development, project management and/or M&A experience is required.

This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
