Overview
bosWell is a digital health company that connects individuals experiencing health-related social needs with beneficial healthcare and social services. We are looking for our Head of Community Health, who will have full ownership and responsibility to rapidly develop the best way for us to partner with community-based organizations (CBOs) to address social needs. We have raised a pre-seed investment from top impact investment funds and respected angel investors.
About bosWell
80% of a person's health is driven by factors outside of the doctor's office - enough food to eat, a place to sleep. Health insurance companies are increasingly recognizing the importance of these social determinants of health (SDOH), but often lack the ability to find and engage these patients to truly help.
bosWell is here to change that.
By partnering with food pantries, bosWell proactively connects food-insecure individuals to healthcare and social services that they’re eligible for – offering help in a community setting they trust, when they need it the most.
What you will do in this role:
- Build a Community Health Worker team to bring the social care process to life
- Test and learn the most effective method of onboarding food pantries as bosWell partners
- Be a partner to the CEO in defining the company culture, strategy, and roadmap
- Iterate on the social care process to effectively engage individuals in CBOs
- Rapidly scale the number of CBO partners in key geographies
What you bring to the table:
- Passion for social impact: Feel deeply passionate about what we could do for underserved communities
- Proactiveness: Have a “just do it” mindset where you are always ready to roll up your sleeves to help customers and teammates, even if it’s outside your role
- Community health expertise: Minimum 5+ years of experience building healthcare-CBO partnerships and leveraging Community Health Workers to coordinate patient care
- Scrappiness: Get things done with extremely limited resources and direction (it will just be you in the beginning) in a startup environment. This is NOT a role with a lot of structure
- Leadership: Create a fun and productive work environment where teammates can do their best work
- Growth mindset: Solicit feedback and take action to grow as a teammate. Want to become a great people leader
