Summary of Duties:


Washington State University Human Resource Services is seeking a motivated HR Assistant to join our Employment Services Team! Employment Services (ES) is responsible for providing consultation and guidance to executive leadership, managers, supervisors, and employees in compliance with applicable laws, policies, rules, regulations, and procedures.


This is a full time, 12 month benefit eligible position with a hybrid schedule option for the finalist needing to report to the Pullman campus at least three times per week.


Successful candidates will begin as a Human Resources Consultant Assistant 1 (HRCA 1) or a Human Resources Consultant Assistant 2 (HRCA 2) depending upon their qualifications.

Required Qualifications


  • Three years of office experience including at least six months of experience in a human resource or related setting OR equivalent education/experience.


Hrca2


  • Four years of office experience including two years of experience in a human resource or related setting OR equivalent education/experience.


For All Levels


  • Working knowledge and experience with Microsoft office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Exemplary attention to detail


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience in one or more of the following human resource functions training & development, benefits, recruitment, classification, compensation, employee/labor relations.
  • Experience providing customer service both in person and/or over the phone.
  • Experience presenting group orientations and/or trainings.
  • Experience providing clerical/administrative support to multiple individuals.

Range 36 $2,957 to $3,915 A-M


For HRCA 2


Range 42 $3,401 to $4,541 A-M


Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28.
