Provides strong leadership to the work of the Housing and Family Assistance department and a member of the Supportive Resources leadership team. The program manager provides operational leadership of programs – the housing and family assistance department, Medicaid lodging authorizations, and the family assistance fund.


Responsibilities


  • Administer Family Assistance Fund approvals and denials and program expansion to all community sites and Proton Center.
  • Monitors and reports on department philanthropic fund and grant spending.
  • Support to Senior Manager on lodging strategic expansion and support for housing facilities and vendors; provides recommendations based on knowledge of patient needs, volumes and Medicaid policy/allowances.
  • Supervises department staff and coverage for any vacancies.
  • Liaison to Fred Hutch facilities team to support/coordinate operational impact of facilities projects at housing facilities.
  • Develops operational policies for housing program, specific to department operations at SLU and all community sites, and family assistance funding. Ensures department policies are followed and identifies gaps requiring policy development.
  • Lead for 1-2 service line Medicaid/FAF lodging authorizations clinical teams.
  • Weekly on-call rotation for after hours and weekend emergencies in South Lake Union House, Pete Gross House and any family assistance or lodging related emergencies. Liaison to security, facilities, AOC and Supportive Care colleagues and patients during emergencies.


Qualifications


Required:


  • Position will require excellent communication (both oral and written) and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize the program workload.
  • 2-5 yrs. managerial experience.
  • Must have strong customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated skill in assessing customer needs and problem-solving abilities to meet those needs.
  • High School diploma
  • 5 yrs. property management or medical/lodging insurance authorization.


Preferred


  • Ability to understand and explain Medicaid benefits to patients and staff.
  • BA
  • Two years of emergency incident response experience in healthcare or facilities related fields or FEMA ICS-100 and FEMA IS-700 course completion.


This position is patient facing and/or requires access to Fred Hutch clinical facilities. As such, full COVID-19 vaccination is required as a condition of employment, without exception. Booster doses are strongly recommended but not required. If declining a booster, completion of the COVID-19 Vaccination Status Form Questionnaire and COVID-19 Booster Declination Training is required. The annual base salary range for this position is from $70,817 to $106,225 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
