Houseperson/Houseman

We are looking for an exceptional Houseperson/Houseman. If you are interested in working in a beautiful private country club with outstanding service and people, then consider Big Canyon. Currently searching for a part time houseperson who can transition to a seasonal full-time role for the summer and back to part time after August.

Expectations

• Always conduct oneself in a professional manner to reflect the high standards of the Big Canyon Country Club
• Respond and provide aid if you are properly trained in medical or other emergencies
• Ability to multi-task in a faced paced, high-pressure environment

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintaining working knowledge of all club amenities as well as any special club events
• Assembling and striking dance floors, stages, podiums and presentation equipment
• Maintaining a commitment to a high level of member service and satisfaction
• Transporting heavy equipment such as heaters, umbrellas, bars, etc.., to and from on and off course locations
• Maintaining the cleanliness of banquet storage, table rooms, and on-course storage facility
• Following Banquet Event Orders with strong attention to detail with knowledge of various types of set-ups
• Assisting with all transportation, set-up and break-down on functions to include setting folding napkins and arranging tables, collecting soiled linens, and A/V team equipment set up
• Setting-Up and Breaking-Down air walls prior to and after banquet events

Compensation

Pay for this position is $20/hour

Minimum Qualifications

• High school education required
• Ability to be on one’s feet for long periods of time while bending, reaching and stooping when necessary
• Must be able to properly lift move, transfer, and set objects weighing 50-75 pounds.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and be highly detail oriented
• Work cooperatively and professionally with other departments
• Prior hospitality experience preferred
• Must be able to accurately follow instructions, both verbally and written
• Must have valid driver's license and meet company driving standards (i.e. operation of maintenance cart/trailer equipment)
• Maintain a pleasant, polite manner as well as a neat and clean appearance
