Job Description

Position Summary:

The Housekeeping Manager works with the Assistant Director and Director of Housekeeping to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping department. Ensure guest rooms, hallways, public areas and other facilities are maintained in a clean, safe, orderly, and secure condition.

Job Duties:

  • Assists in developing training material for safety concerns and address challenges.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Performs room inspections for an average of 5 guest rooms per day.
  • Communicates with Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Director.
  • Coordinates housekeeping personnel & communication, housekeeping projects, and daily activities to meet hotel needs and ensure efficiency.
  • Routinely checks on public areas to ensure they are maintained daily.
  • Communicates team morale with employees and supervisors.

Minimum Qualifications / Other Expectations:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Experience in the selection, training and supervision of housekeeping staff.
  • College degree in Hotel Administration, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • Ability to effectively interact with customers and staff in a professional manner.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and strong analytical and computer skills.
  • Minimum two (2) years management experience in a hotel/resort housekeeping environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation:

Base Pay Range: $64,500.00 - $70,100.00


Actual placement within this range may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
