Hotel General Manager Jobs

We are currently looking for a dynamic General Manager for our hotel in Fort Lauderdale. The ideal candidate is familiar with the work involved in running a successful hotel.

Reporting to the head office executive committee, the general manager is responsible for the proper functioning of his establishment such as, but not limited to:

Job description

• Any other tasks relevant to hotel operations.
• Represent the hotel at different public events
• Coordinate and organize the staff-training program. Development of annual budgets, monitoring, and control. Coordinate and oversee renovation operations.
• Supervision of group billing
• Meeting with event managers for a potential sale
• Provide after-sales service to customers and request for future events
• Organization of events in the hotel
• Participate in the development of a marketing plan and action plan
• Development of pricing for different products and services in collaboration with the sales manager
• Lead, manage and supervise staff
• Responsible for communication between staff and customers
• Meet and follow with customers to ensure their satisfaction and make corrections if necessary
• Meeting with the different event organizers and editing the diaries and group worksheets that stay at the hotel Supervision of the smooth running and respect of the programs of the groups on the spot
• Communication and coordination of hotel activities

Competencies:

• Hotel Management experience is a prerequisite
• Excellent communicator and experience with coaching, training, and motivating Demonstrated leadership and management skills
• Excellent organizational skills

For this position, the salary is based on experience. We also have group benefits and Friends and Family rates on the hotels group.

• D.E.C. (Diploma of College Studies) - Asset
