HOST/HOSTESS

At THE ROCK Wood Fired Pizza, the Host/Hostess is one of the most crucial roles in the guest experience. As the first and last interaction the guest has, you really set the tone for their whole dining experience. We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic hard workers. Bring us your positive attitude and be a part of this amazing team! Come work in a fun, fast paced environment where the music is always on! We are a family-oriented, casual dining restaurant specializing in wood fired pizza.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As guests depart, thank them for dining with us and encourage them to come see us again
• Coordinate floor chart and server rotation, informing servers of new tables you have sat in their section
• Provide waiting guests with accurate wait times, and escort them to their table once it becomes available
• Ensure the best possible experience by effectively communicating with Servers, Managers, and other Hosts/Hostesses
• Stock and maintain host stand with all necessary tools (roll-ups, crayons, menus, etc.)
• Observe all company policies and procedures
• Take and plan for reservations, working directly with management team
• Warmly and enthusiastically greet each guest
• Engage guests waiting to be seated, making them feel welcome.
• Answer phones in a warm, friendly manner in accordance with The Rock’s phone etiquette

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs
• Ability to learn from mistakes
• Ability to stay organized and manage your time effectively
• An upbeat and friendly attitude
